Blue Ridge Hardwoods has established an extensive irrigation and drainage infra-structure onsite in accordance with the NSW Department of Environment and Heritage, and the NSW Environment Protection Authority’s regulations. Blue Ridge Hardwoods maintains two water retention dams for the purpose of collecting, and storing for re-use, any water run-off created from the watering of logs, log washing or weather events. This water is also utilised in site dust suppression through both fixed and mobile sprinkling. There is no water discharge from site, except in some cases associated with an extraordinary rain event.
